Filling a great need called for a unique program implemented by an outstanding staff.
There has been a great need for The Dunes witnessed by New Yorkers’ and Mid-Atlantic residents’ inability to receive individualized comprehensive recovery care in an estate-like setting in the tri-state area.
To fulfill this need The Dunes is designed to “Set the Standard” for recovery programs. To do so we went to Harvard University Medical School, to get Dr. Howard J. Shaffer to create our unique clinical protocols and train and advise our staff.
To implement our unique program, we have recruited a group of extremely professional men and women to treat the clients at the Dunes. The Dunes East Hampton Staff, as of March 28th, 2011, had 338 Years of collective sobriety. Our Staff members know from their own experience the fears, anxieties, and resistances that addicts face when confronted with having to go into a recovery facility—this is experience our staff puts to work on behalf of clients in recovery at The Dunes.
The Dunes offers clients the proven power of a spiritual basis for their recovery.
Spirituality is the means by which alcoholics or addicts often find hope.
At The Dunes, clients are encouraged and supported by our spiritual counselor. Clients are introduced to a range of classic spiritual practices at The Dunes.
We know some clients may be questioning of a spiritual approach, The Dunes makes this proven recovery component available to interested clients. This way, clients who wish to partake get the added benefits with which a spiritual orientation can enhance their recoveries.
The Dunes team strives to help clients facing legal problems focus on recovery
Some of our clients, when arriving at The Dunes, face legal problems. To help clients stay focused on their recovery—their lifeline—we provide timely and knowledgeable legal coordination pertaining to their legal issues. By helping to manage their legal affairs The Dunes allows clients is stay focused on recovery.
