The Dunes East Hampton Recovery Program in New York
Our drug and alcohol recovery program begins with an initial interview and intake for each new client. We use The Syndrome Model of Addiction as presented by Dr. Howard Shaffer, Senior Program Consultant at The Dunes. As outlined by Dr. Shaffer, each addict or alcoholic has a collection of signs and symptoms that the addiction presents. Because of this, we complete a full physical, emotional, and psychological evaluation on each client, which gives our team the information needed to develop a custom substance abuse treatment plan.
Individualized Programs for Addiction Recovery
Our drug and alcohol addiction treatment programs are tailored to the specific needs of each individual. Addiction rehab specialists personal attention to each client is a major attribute that separates us from the average recovery program. We also maintain a high clinical staff-to-client ratio, so we can focus individualized attention throughout the program – from evaluation to recovery plan goals.
Recovery planning and education at The Dunes is collaborative and comprehensive. Collaborative, because at The Dunes, clients are involved every step of the way, in designing their own individualized recovery plans and structured post-Dunes continuing recovery plans. Comprehensive, because members of The Dunes management and the clinical addiction treatment specialists recognize there are many facets of each client’s cycle of addiction that need to be addressed in order to give them the best opportunity for long-term recovery.
